Access Statement

Introduction:

We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors and welcome you into our home which is a spacious two bedroom bed and breakfast accommodation. The following statement is a summary of our provision. If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will hopefully be able to help you.

Pre-Arrival:

There is a bus stop approx 3 minutes walk from Cally Croft there is a frequent bus service to several nearby places. The main train station is Bodmin Parkway which is approx 17 miles from Padstow. The nearest Airport is Newquay is approx 16 miles from Padstow. There is a local taxi service that has accessible taxis if required, we can make a booking for you. Arrival & Car Parking Facilities:

On arrival you will see a sign for Cally Croft on our driveway. No marked parking bays but there is ample parking for all cars. The surface is level, flat and paved with small paving bricks. We can if required assist with your luggage. The town, shops and restaurants is approx between 5 - 7 minute walk this involves a hill coming back up.

Main Entrance & Reception:

On your arrival there will be someone here to welcome you. You will be provided with a front door key and bedroom door key and access is available throughout. The front door is 82cm wide. On entry into our home there is a hallway which is 84cm wide and 405cm in length to the stairs. The hallway and stairs is carpeted with short pile carpet.

Public Areas - General (Internal):

A double door leads into the breakfast room which has a wooden floor. A light is left on in the hallway throughout the night as is the outside light. The breakfast room is on the ground floor. Both bedrooms are on the first floor with 12 stairs leading to them. The stairs are 19cm deep, 79cm wide.

Public Areas - WC:

Bedrooms are ensuite but no public WC available.

Breakfast Room:

Breakfast is served in the breakfast area on the ground floor. There are no steps.Furniture is flexible and can be moved on request. Both tables are large No 1 table is 59cm height by 76cm wide and the height of the 71cm (legs on each corner). Table no 2 - 63cm height by 93cm wide. The chairs do not have arms. Menus are provided in large print if required. We do not play background music in any area of the B&B.

Laundry:

Sorry Not available. But if you have wet clothing we are happy to dry this for you.

Shop:

Tesco Store approx 3 - 4 minute walk from Cally Croft.

Treatment room/s:

None available but available in The Lavender Room which is situated in The Old Customs House Hotel on the Harbour side.

Leisure Facilities:

Wadebridge Sports Centre which is approx 7 miles from Padstow.

Outdoor Facilities:

Tennis Courts available in Padstow, Golf, Sailing, Fishing, Water Skiing nearby.

Conference & Meeting Rooms, Banqueting, Clubs, Entertainment:

Not available.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms:

There are 2 bedrooms both on the first floor The Lilac Room (with sitting room) and The Primrose Room (see details below).

The Lilac Room:

Bath ensuite with power shower over bath. The main bedroom door opens outwards and is 77cm in width. The bathroom door is the same width but opens inwards as is the lounge door also opening inwards. The bed has a luxury mattress and is 36cm high with bedside tables either side of the bed. The sitting room has a cane 2 seater sofa together with a cane armchair. Television with remote control, sky, DVD and wireless internet access. The room has a silent fridge and ironing board and iron. The carpet is wool, luxury and short pile throughout. The walls throughout are painted in a light cream colour. The bathroom is tiled through out. The bath edge is 58cm high. The basin is rounded and is 79cm high. The toilet is 40cm high. The rooms have central heating and ceiling fans for warmer weather. Floor space is 171cm x 173cm.

The Primrose Room:

Shower ensuite bathroom. Door width is 77cm opening inwards as is the bathroom door. The bed has a luxury mattress and is 36cm high with bedside tables either side of the bed. There are 2 cane armchairs. Television with remote control, sky, DVD and wireless internet access. The carpet is wool, luxury and short pile. The room has a silent fridge, ironing board and iron. The walls are painted in a light cream colour. The bathroom has a double power shower. The cubicle shower edge/step is 28cm. The basin is rounded and is 79cm high. Toilet is 40cm high. The walls are tiled throughout and the room has central heating. Ceiling fans are provided for warmer weather.  Floor space is 240cm x 181cm.

Grounds and Gardens:

There is a small table with chairs on the front drive which guests are welcomed to sit on. Also table and chairs on the patio available if guests wish to take their coffee or tea after breakfast

Additional Information:

Mobile phone reception is generally good. We are a non smoking Bed and Breakfast ashtrays are provided if you wish to smoke outside.  We are fitted with smoke alarms. Daily newspapers usually available. We do not have any facilities for Children. We do not take pets except Guide Dogs.
